Keldy, Yorkshire

This modern log cabin is located in private grounds, on the outskirts of Liverton village, right on the edge of the North Yorks Moors National Park.

Immediately outside of the cabin there is a good-sized covered verandah area with seating. This leads directly onto a large landscaped garden area, which guests are welcome to use.

Thornlea has uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire countryside from almost every angle. It is only 2 minutes away from the nearest family-friendly pub and there is a small shop at the other end of the village for necessities.

Thornlea Log Cabin Facilites

All accommodation is on one level, with access to the cabin via a ramp. Everything inside the cabin has a modern feel to it and is very light and airy, making it seem exceptionally spacious.

Thornlea can accommodate 5 guests, having 2 bedrooms (1 Double, 1 Twin) and a sofabed in the living area. The living space itself is open plan with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. There is a good sized bathroom which has both a bath and a shower.

All of the following are included in the rent: fuel, bed linen, towels and kitchen items. The kitchen itself is well-equipped with modern appliances and a highchair is available on request.

Outside there is utility room available (shared with owner), a bike/equipment storage area and an off-road parking area for 2 cars. In the garden, children can enjoy the lawned area, complete with swings and a trampoline.

NB. The Log Cabin does have a No Smoking policy, but does allow one well-behaved dog.

Thornlea Log Cabin Surrounding Area

Thornlea Log Cabin is ideally located for many different pursuits. It is only 3 miles from the coastline and about 6 miles from the village of Danby, where the National Park Visitor Centre is located. The Centre makes a great day out for families, with lots of fun events on offer throughout the summer months.

Danby is home to some unique historical artefacts including the ruins of Danby castle, which date back to the 14th century and one of the few remaining working water mills, situated on the River Esk.

For a traditional seaside day out, complete with fresh Fish and Chips, Candy Floss and silly hats, Whitby is only a 15 mile drive away. As well as the beach and harbour, no matter what the weather, Whitby caters for both indoor and outdoor activities and has attractions that will appeal to visitors of any age.
