Nunnington Hall

Middlethorpe Hall was once occupied by the 18th century bluestocking and diarist, Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, who declared it a ‘very pretty place’.

Today the Hall offers guests a stay in a William and Mary house that has been lovingly restored. Guests can enjoy wandering around the 20 acres of garden and park land that surround the house - which features fragrant rose gardens and a ha-ha.

The interior has been elegantly decorated in the manner of the 18th Century and furnished with antiques and fine paintings - so it feels much more like a stay in a manor house than a 29 bedroom hotel.

Health and fitness spa

Middlethorpe has a swimming pool, sauna and gym plus a team of therapists who can offer a range of treatments from Decléor, ESPA and Jessica. Spa breaks and beauty days are available.

Fine dining

Enjoy lunch, dinner or afternoon tea in our panelled dinig room over looking the gardens. Our food is critically acclaimed, and has been awarded a two rosettes from the AA. We also have facilities for private dining, and a wine list that exudes quality and variety.
